Prepare the site
Remove disposable caches and confirm that the server has enough free disk space for the working archive.
Create the archive
- Open MigrateNest → Migrate out.
- Review preflight results and resolve blocking permissions or capacity errors.
- Choose the database, uploads, themes and plugins you need.
- Confirm exclusions and select Create export.
- Keep the browser open while the first batch begins. Later batches preserve progress if a request is interrupted.
WordPress core, wp-config.php, server configuration files and the backup directory are not exported.
